This mural was created on the facade of Quatro Cinema in the center of Heerlen, commissioned by Stichting Getting Up.
The dimensions are approximately 22 meters wide x 7 meters high.
The design forms a connection between the world of film and the rich Roman history of the neighborhood. Modern cinema and historical elements merge into one large work of art, highlighting both the function of the cinema and the cultural past of the location.
Several artists collaborated on this impressive mural. The project is a joint creation by PichiAvo, James Jetlag, Studio Giftig, and myself. This part was realized by James Jetlag and me. By combining different styles and disciplines, a powerful and dynamic artwork has been created that perfectly matches Heerlen's identity as a street art city.
This mural shows how art, history, and culture can reinforce each other and how a façade can become a recognizable eye-catcher in public space.
