The nature and landscape of South Limburg have been an important source of inspiration in my work for many years. In a series of illustrations, I have captured the characteristic flora, fauna, and rolling landscapes of this unique region.
With watercolours and pen drawings, I bring the atmosphere and details of the Limburg landscape to life. From rolling hills, sunken lanes, and half-timbered houses to the animals that inhabit this area: each illustration is an ode to the beauty of the South Limburg landscape.
The combination of the transparent colors of watercolor and the fine lines of pen and ink creates a refined, timeless appearance. This results in a balance between realism and a personal, artistic interpretation of the environment.
These illustrations were created as personal work, but are also perfectly suited for publications, exhibitions, cards, educational projects, or as artwork for lovers of the Limburg landscape. They form a collection in which nature, heritage, and my love for South Limburg come together.
