Illustrations for short film `Luddevedu'

Commissioned by a filmmaker, I created the illustrations for the Limburgish short film Luddevedu, Limburgish for heartbreak.

For this project, I created a series of watercolor illustrations on paper that support the atmosphere and emotional tone of the film. Several key scenes from the story were translated into tranquil images, giving the film’s visual identity shape at an early stage.

In addition, I designed the character design of the main character. Through sketches and illustrations, a character emerged that seamlessly matched the atmosphere and story of the film.

This project demonstrates how illustration can contribute to the creative process of a film production. By developing mood images, concept art, and character designs, a story gains a clear visual direction and identity even before the first shot is filmed.
