For Basisschool De Vlieger in Hoensbroek, Reggy Bruine de Bruin and I created a colorful mural in the staff room. The project was realized in collaboration with all students from group 1 to 8.
During the Talent Days, we organized creative workshops in which each student created a painting on canvas. The central theme was Hoensbroek, with nature, children, and a kite as symbols of freedom, growth, and connection. The students were given every opportunity to express their own ideas and imagination on the canvas.
Afterwards, we collected all the paintings and selected the most inspiring ideas. These formed the basis for the final design. Various elements from the students' works have been incorporated into the mural, giving their creativity a lasting place within the school.
By giving all students' ideas a place in the design, not only was an atmospheric space created for the school team, but also a work of art in which the entire school community can recognize itself and be proud of.
