Educational project

For this art project, I collaborated with students to develop a mural that puts their own experiences at the center.

The project began with an interactive introductory lesson, in which I talked about my work as a mural artist, my working methods, and the projects I have completed in recent years. We then engaged in a discussion together about the theme of puberty. During a brainstorming session, the students shared their own experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Their ideas formed the basis for the final design. Students interested in painting then helped with the execution of the mural.

The design incorporates various symbols that represent puberty. A student with a backpack symbolizes that everyone carries their own experiences and challenges. The flowers and the bees playfully refer to the physical development that comes with this stage of life. The cycle of the moon stands for the monthly cycle. In addition, a winding road runs through a rolling landscape, symbolizing the journey of life with all its highs and lows. The tree symbolizes the tree of life.

The result is a mural that not only beautifies the school, but above all tells the story of the students themselves. By actively involving them in both the design and execution, a work of art was created in which recognition, collaboration, and personal development are central.
