Canvasses on commission

Even before I fully focused on murals, I was already creating commissioned paintings for private clients. Since my student days, I have had the opportunity to create countless personal works, each with its own story and meaning.

Many commissions revolved around immortalizing a loved one on canvas. Together with the client, I discussed the composition, colors, size, and of course, who or what should be the central focus. In this way, each painting became a unique piece that perfectly matched the wishes and interior of the client.
In addition to portraits, landscapes were also a recurring theme. Often, these were places with special emotional value: a birthplace, a favorite holiday destination, or a landscape that evoked memories of an important moment in someone’s life. By capturing these locations on canvas, they were given a lasting, tangible form.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of commissions, ranging from intimate family portraits to larger, public projects. A particular highlight was the commission for the Province of Limburg, for which I was allowed to design the official carnival poster.
